Captagon quickly produces a euphoric intensity in users, allowing fighters to stay up for days, killing with a numb, reckless abandon.
"You can't sleep or even close your eyes, forget about it," said a Lebanese user, one of three who appeared on camera without their names for a BBC Arabic documentary that aired in September.
"And whatever you take to stop it, nothing can stop it."
"I felt like I own the world high," another user said. "Like I have power nobody has. A really nice feeling."
"There was no fear anymore after I took Captagon," a third man added.
BUT IT ISN'T JUST FIGHTERS, "DEATH SQUAD MEMBERS" WHO TAKE THIS DRUG.

SAUDI PRINCE BUSTED IN LEBANON SMUGGLING 2 TONS OF CAPTAGON AND BAGS OF COCAINE
On 26 October 2015, a member of the Saudi royal family, Prince Abdel Mohsen Bin Walid Bin Abdulaziz, and four others were detained in Beirut on charges of drug trafficking after airport security discovered two tons of Captagon (fenethylline) pills and some cocaine on a private jet scheduled to depart for the Saudi capital of Riyadh.

The prince was arrested and taken in for questioning along with four other people.
The Saudi embassy in Lebanon is exerting direct pressure on the Lebanese authorities over the involvement of one of its princes in a major drugs smuggling attempt.
Security Sources told Al-Manar that Saudi Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Fawwaz Al-Shaalan met Lebanese Interior Minister Nuhad al-Machnouk later on Monday.
The sources said that Riyadh is trying hard to exclude the prince from the trial process.
What was uncovered on Monday October 26, 2015 about the involvement of one of the grandsons of Abdul Aziz Al Saud (Abdul Mohsen bin Walid bin Abdul Mohsen bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud) completes a series of the regime scandals and its relationship with promoting drugs inside the kingdom.
The following month, Agence France Press reported that the Turkish authorities had seized 2 tons of Captagon during raids in the Hatay region on the Syrian border.
The pills, almost 11 million of them, had been produced in Syria and were being shipped to countries in the Arab states of the Persian Gulf.
SEE: "Turkey seizes 11 million pills of 'Syria war drug': Reports". The Times of India (Istanbul).
The production and sale of fenethylline generates large revenues which are likely used to fund weapons, as well as combatants on both sides using the stimulant to keep them fighting.
CAPTAGON IS FREELY DISTRIBUTED TO WHAT IS CALLED "SAUDI DEATH SQUADS".
"The tiny pill fueling Syria's war and turning fighters into superhuman soldiers". The Washington Post.
According to a Reuters report published in 2014, the war has turned Syria into a "major" amphetamines producer -- and consumer.
"Syrian government forces and rebel groups each say the other uses Captagon to endure protracted engagements without sleep, while clinicians say ordinary Syrians are increasingly experimenting with the pills, which sell for between $5 and $20," Reuters reported.
VOICE OF AMERICA notes that while Westerners have speculated that the drug is being used by Islamic State fighters, the biggest consumer has for years been Saudi Arabia.
In 2010, a third of the world's supply — about seven tons — ended up in Saudi Arabia, according to Reuters. VOA estimated that as many as 40,000 to 50,000 Saudis go through drug treatment each year.
SAUDI ARABIA TRULY IS THE CAPTAGON DRUG KINGDOM OF THE WORLD.
The famous story about the daughters of late Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, Hala, Maha, Sahar and Jawaher, who are still imprisoned in his royal castles is not a new one. Many stories were written about the issue, and many interviews were conducted with their mother, Princess al-Anoud al-Fayez who is based in London.
"Saudi prisoners of conscience were detained at the psychiatric ward, injected with drugs and were subject to torture and humiliation," according to what Hala Abdullah Abdul Aziz Al Saud witnessed, as she had been working as a trainee in some of the mental disease centers.
The princess's objection on such a way of dealing with the prisoners made her a victim of the same way. She was injected with drugs and imprisoned before her health status deteriorated, and she was then isolated from her sisters.
"Servants in the castle tended to add drugs for my daughters Maha and Hala. Some of them couldn't make it, so they were fired. Others gave up on the order. Jawaher and Sahar demanded that the servants stay outside their residential place, so that the tragedy won't be repeated," said al-Anoud al-Fayez.
This is how Al Saud dealt with their own children... it is not surprising anymore that their princes are the ones flooding the country with drugs that would crush the Saudi people.
According to late UN statistics, the rate [of] drug addicts inside the kingdom hits 150 thousand persons.
Saudi Arabia is also the first among Gulf countries in the number of addicts whose ages of 70% of them range between 12 and 20 years.
Perhaps the dangerous issue is what had been shown recently in studies that 10% of the elementary level students (11 years old and less) are addicted to drugs, the percentage increases to 33% for intermediary level students (up to 15 years old), and 38% for secondary level students (up to 18 years old.)
Saudi Arabia is considered among the countries MOST addicted to Captagon.
The 2013 UN report on drugs in the world shows that one third of the overall quantity of Captagon that was confiscated in the world was in Saudi Arabia.
Thus, Captagon is the first on the list of drugs there. It was also described as "the excellent Saudi drug."
YEMEN THWARTS DRUG SMUGGLING BY SAUDI ARABIA
On Monday, May 21st of 2012, the first drug confiscation operation was registered in the Yemeni Sa'ada province.
Huge drug quantities were taken to Saudi Arabia.
On that day, the Ansarullah Movement announced it spoiled the quantity after it frustrated the smuggling attempt. It was "a part of our responsibility in front of Allah since this dangerous issue is one of the damaging weapons the enemies of the nation are using in their war against our youth and children to destroy them, damage their values, and waste their abilities," according to the movement's statement on the time.
After the September 21st, 2014 revolution, Yemeni Security Forces and revolutionary committees succeeded in confiscating such operations.
"Controlling this smuggling phenomenon had a great impact on the Saudi policy towards Yemen," according to the sources.
This was confirmed by the Saudi Ministry of Interior on September 1st, 2015 when it announced that the rate of smuggling drugs from Yemen to Saudi Arabia decreased to 80%, relating this to the "positive results" of the aggression.
In a BBC documentary entitled "Captagon: Drug of the Syrian War," its producer, Lebanese journalist Radwan Mortada narrates from "Abu Souss" (a nickname for an important political opposition person who funds Captagon factories in Syria) that "selling the Saudis Captagon made him make a lot of money."
After the Syrian crisis, some of the Syrians tended to trade Captagon and promote it in exchange of money and weapons.
As a new phenomenon, many drug factories emerged in the middle and east of Syria.
International reports say that manufacturing Captagon flourishes in southeastern countries in Europe: Slovenia, Serbia and Bulgaria, and they are smuggled via Turkey to Syria and Jordan until they reach Saudi Arabia...
Hence, smuggling drugs from Lebanon happens through the Al Saud Princes' private planes.. with a royal stamp [of approval].
The boost of manufacturing drugs in Syria is due to the Saudi money flooding this business. In Yemen, the kingdom's men and businessmen sponsor the smuggling operations, which damage the Saudis whether kids, youth or detainees.
Even the sons and daughters of the princes are not safe from drugs in case they didn't abide by the royal decisions inside the Al Saud castles.
BY SHARIA LAW, DRUG RUNNING IS PUNISHABLE BY BEHEADING.
HOW DID THE SAUDI PRINCE ESCAPE CERTAIN DEATH?
BECAUSE HE'S A SAUDI PRINCE.
Beheading is legal today only in Saudi Arabia, Iran, Qatar and Yemen,
Amputation as legal punishment is still practiced in a number of countries, among them Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, and Islamic regions of Nigeria.
They were also common in Afghanistan under the Taliban.
BUT NOT ONE IN THE SAUDI MONARCHY HAS BEEN EXECUTED FOR SIMILAR AND GREATER CRIMES!
THEY CAN DO MURDER, RAPE, DRUG RUNNING, TRADE IN HUMAN SLAVES, KEEP SEX SLAVES, DRINK ALCOHOL, SMOKE MARIJUANA, GAMBLE, COMMIT HOMOSEXUAL ACTS, ALL FORBIDDEN BY SHARIA LAW, ALL PUNISHABLE BY DEATH OR FLOGGING, AND YET THE MONARCHS GET OFF SCOT FREE.

AND THEN, DAYS LATER... Saudi prince won't face felony charges in sex case - CNN.com
On November 25, 2007, a Saudi man was beheaded by sword for committing homicide.
His execution brought the country’s official number of beheadings [in 2007] to 151.
This number was a new record, standing in stark contrast to the 2006 total of 38 and far exceeding the previous record of 113 beheadings in 2000.
BUT THE SAUDI PRINCE FILMED BEATING HIS MANSERVANT TO DEATH?
NO BEHEADING SENTENCE.
Rape, murder, apostasy, armed robbery, and drug trafficking are among the many crimes punishable by beheading in the oil-rich kingdom.
SAUDI MONARCHS ARE GUILTY OF THESE EVERY DAY, BUT NO PUNISHMENT.
WHY DON'T THE PEOPLE OF SAUDI ARABIA SEE THIS AND DEMAND EQUAL JUSTICE?
FEAR...FEAR OF RETRIBUTION.
In 13 countries around the world, all of them Muslim, people who openly espouse atheism or reject the official state religion of Islam face execution under the law
Death, often by public beheading, is the punishment for either blasphemy or apostasy - renouncing belief or switching to another religion... which is also protected under U.N. accords.
But this year's more comprehensive study showed six more nations allowing death sentence for that, bringing the full list to Afghanistan, Iran, Malaysia, Maldives, Mauritania, Nigeria, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, United Arab Emirates and Yemen
UNDER SHARIA LAW, RAPE VICTIMS HAVE NO HOPE.
In Pakistan, it is reported that three out of four women in prison under its Hudud laws [these are the laws of what it forbidden and permitted by Allah himself], are rape victims.
Because rape is equated with zina [unlawful sexual intercourse] under Hudud law, rape victims are required to produce four pious male witnesses.
It is of course nearly impossible for the rape victims to produce the four male witnesses required to prove their allegation.
Therefore their police report of rape was taken as a confession of illicit sex on their part and they were duly found guilty
Majed Abdulaziz Al-Saud, 29, was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of forced oral copulation (oral sex) of an adult, Los Angeles police spokesman Drake Madison told The Washington Post.
Al-Saud was taken into custody and booked after 4 p.m., according to reports. He was released on Thursday afternoon.
Al-Saud posted a $300,000 bond Thursday and was released.
Los Angeles police Capt. Tina Nieto told the newspaper that authorities determined the prince does NOT have diplomatic immunity in the case — a protection other foreign nationals have recently tried to claim.
ALSO PUNISHABLE BY DEATH IN SAUDI ARABIA ...HOMOSEXUALITY...BUT NOT FOR ITS PRINCES WHO ENGAGE IN HOMOSEXUAL ACTS..
A homosexual Saudi prince jailed for life in Britain for killing his manservant is to serve the rest of his sentence in his home country.
He told police that the victim had gained his injuries in an attack on a London street "weeks before", but the hotel's CCTV footage recorded the attack.
The judge had declared he had used Mr Abdulaziz, originally from Sudan, as a "human punch bag"
SO, LET'S GET THIS STRAIGHT, BRITAIN HAS MADE WIKILEAKS' FOUNDER JULIAN ASSANGE A PRISONER SANS TRIAL FOR YEARS AND WILL NOT LET HIM LEAVE BRITAIN DUE TO, THEY SAY, ALLEGATIONS OF SEXUAL MISCONDUCT IN ANOTHER COUNTRY, BUT BRITAIN ALLOWS A PROVEN MURDERER, A MAN FILMED DOING MURDER, TO GO HOME TO THE ARMS OF HIS SAUDI MONARCHY FAMILY, WHO WILL SURELY NOT THROW HIM IN SOME FILTHY PRISON WHERE OTHERS LIKE HIM ARE KEPT?
DOES BRITAIN ALWAYS SEND ITS CONVICTED MURDERERS BACK TO THEIR HOME COUNTRIES TO SERVE THEIR SENTENCES FOR MURDER?
THIS SAUDI PRINCE IS A SPECIAL CASE.
YEAH, THAT MAKES SENSE...NOT IN ANY WAY!.
VERY BAD MOVE, BRITISH JUDICIAL SYSTEM!
SHAME ON YOU!
WERE YOU 'MOTIVATED' BY YOUR MUSLIM IMMIGRANTS' VIEWS?
32% of British Muslim students support killing for Islam; 40% want Shari'ah Law.
67 percent, said they would continue acting in accordance with their religious beliefs if the Parliament passed a law that contradicted religious laws.
At least 85 Islamic sharia courts are operating in Britain, a study claimed yesterday. The astonishing figure is 17 times higher than previously accepted.
THE PRINCE ARRESTED IN LAS ANGELES FOR FORCING ORAL COPULATION ALSO THREATENED TO KILL STAFF IF THEY REVEALED HIS HOMOSEXUAL ACTS..
All three of the women claim to have seen the royal having his penis 'stroked' by a male aide and say they were forced to stay in the room and watch as the encounter unfolded.
Homosexuality is illegal in Saudi Arabia, and punishable by flogging, or even execution.
Another says she was made to watch while a different male aide bent over and broke wind in Al Saud's face – apparently at his request.Felony charges against Al Saud were dropped by the Los Angeles District Attorney but prosecutors can now bring misdemeanor charges against him.
